The King's Singers |
Last night I had the opportunity to attend The King's Singers concert at BYU. It was a celebration of the 50th anniversary of The King's Singers, featuring a wide variety of songs, all of which were superb.
The first song, A Prayer of King Henry VI, was hauntingly beautiful and it set the tone for the rest of the concert. They sang Claude Jeune's Revecy venir du Printans, Les Marins de Kermor, a beautiful song about French mariners, and even a few songs by The Beatles (I'll Follow the Sun, And I Love Her, Honey Pie). After standing ovations, The King's Singers treated their Mormon audience with a medley of primary songs. It was simply stupendous. (Thanks to my parents for the tickets.
